Had another fabulous day out along the Leeds/Liverpool canal courtesy of Lucien and Adam at Ellerbeck Narrowboats.
This was our fourth visit and definitely won't be the last, we had another wonderful day!!
On arrival we were once again warmly greeted by Lucien, who took us through the thorough procedures for both passenger and vessel safety whilst on the canal. This was very informative, detailed and delivered in a very professional, pleasant and entertaining way.
The boat (Ruston Red) was very clean, well maintained and well equipped with cutlery, pots, pans, towels, a kettle.....and very hot water!!
Ellerbeck Narrowboats are very professional and extremely friendly and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for that fun, pleasant and relaxing way to unwind with family and friends.
We shall certainly be booking another trip very soon.

Booked for 6 adults and 3 kids, lucien explained everything in the safety briefing, we hired Ruston which was lovely and clean with everything on board that we needed, kids had a marvelous day fed the ducks and stopped at Frederick's ice cream, will definatly book again. We took out two of the boats and had a really good day on a Company Team Building event. Stopped off at Frederick's ice cream and Spinners Pub and Restaurant.

We have been coming here for the past 5 years and will be caring on doing so .it's a fantastic day out the staff are lovely they talk you through the safety side of it very well .we stop off at 3pubs along the way which are all good pubs .well recommended see you next year .

We hired the barge for my friends birthday, we got there the boat was all ready and nice and clean. Nice friendly staff that showed us everything. Easy to use. Definitely book again.

We had a fantastic day out on board Ruston Red. The staff were friendly, professional and made us feel at ease before we set off on the boat. It was a beautiful sunny day (albeit cold) so we were able to sit outside for the whole trip to enjoy the lovely views along the canal. We all thoroughly enjoyed our day (including our little dog) and would certainly do it again. Many thanks!
The weather was pretty grim, but this didn't dampen our enthusiasm and it was handy that the boat 'Crossley' has a canopy over the passenger area to keep you dry.
Upon our arrival the boat was fully prepared, following a safety briefing and instructions on how to operate the boat, we were ready for the off. Taking it in turns to helm the boat, in a couple of hours our trip took us to the Malt House Farm, which is conveniently located right beside the canal. On board the facilities are all you need for a day out, providing for cooking if you desire. We chose to eat at the Malt House and after a lovely meal and drinks we were ready for the off to head back to Ellerbeck.
The trip provides a great fun day out to see the sights along the canal at a leisurely pace with numerous opportunities to stop on the way. Despite the weather we had a fantastic time and fully intend to book again.
Had a safety meeting with Lucien who explained everything we needed to know.
We had hired Crossley Green which had a cover over the front part of the barge which was very handy due to the weather being typically English.
We all enjoyed our day and will recommend it to friends.
The web site is very clear and booking was simple.
