From 10am to 6pm (Or dusk whichever is earlier):
Start from our boatyard at 10am in the morning and return at 6pm or dusk (whichever is earlier), return times can be viewed by visiting our
Latest Return Times page.
Maximum of 10 people:
Same as for self steer hire, you can still have a maximum of 10 people on board plus our skipper. Remember that this does mean all people which includes small children and babies.
Plan your day as you choose with your skipper (boats are not permitted through locks):
We will not plan your day for you so it's not set before you arrive. When you arrive you will meet with your skipper and plan your day as you would if you were steering the boat yourself. Of course your skipper will offer his/her advice and ideas to ensure you get the most of your day. Or you could just let your skipper make a plan for you.
Visit any of the attractions, restaurants or pubs along the route:
All of the pubs, attractions and places to visit are available to you and these can be seen on our
Route Plan web page.
Opportunity to steer the boat, if you so choose!
How hard can it be to steer the boat? If you decide on the day that you or any of your group actually do want to have a go at steering the boat, your skipper will be more than happy to show you how it's done...just ask!!
Lunch, tea & coffee, various cakes all available at extra charge:
You could either plan your day around a pub lunch along the canal, bring your own food and drink or why not let us take care of the food as well as steering the boat? In association with Katy's Kitchen in Chorley, we are able to offer you a variety of individual buffet lunches freshly prepared on the morning of hire and delivered to the boat just before you arrive.
In addition to the above we can also offer a range of freshly baked cakes in association with The Blackrod Cake company which can be ordered for morning and afternoon tea or for a special occasion.
